Harry James Byart (born 11 March 1994) best known as Fugative is a teen rapper and record producer from Essex, United Kingdom. He was signed by Kirk Burrowes, the former manager of Mary J. Blige and co-founder of Bad Boy Records after Burrowes was contacted by his mother Gloria who previously managed Marvin Gaye. Byart is rumoured to be in the process of signing a major US record deal and possibly signing to J.Cole's management. Fugative has toured with Basshunter[ and has been favourably received by BBC Radio One's Nick Grimshaw who proclaimed, "I want this kid's nuts!" on his Switch radio show.
His debut single, "It's Summertime", peaked at number two in the UK Urban Chart before remaining in the top five for 17 consecutive weeks. This was followed by the release of "Jimmy Shoe" on 6 April 2009, whilst his third single, "Supafly" reached Number 48 in the UK Singles chart.He released his fourth single "Crush" in the UK on 10 May 2010, it reached 26 in the Official UK Charts. It remains Fugative's best performance so far. He is to release a another single, "Bad Girl", on 25 July 2010. Byart is of English, Irish, Italian, Polish-Russian Jewish, and Anglo-Indian descent. Fugative confirmed his first studio album will be called No Goin Home. He expects it to be released in 2011. His next official single "Sticks and Stones" will come out sometime in 2011 however it is not thought to be released under Ministry of Sound. In August 2010 he announced that he had signed a record deal in Japan he will begin working in Japan in November 2010 after the Wiley Tour. Fugative is to release a mixtape before his debut album the mixtape is called 'The Departure'. He has described this as "taster of what's to come". The mixtape is to be released on 10 October 2010.
