David Copperfield flies like a bird, pushing against the wind. He then flies through rotating hoops and then sealed inside a glass box, to prove there is nothing supporting him.
This was first shown on television during 1992, for Copperfield's 14th magic special, The magic of David Copperfield XIV: Flying - Live the dream.
No computer effects or edits are used in this illusion, and the perspex box has been previously inspected by two random audience members. The people who are seated around him on stage are the two back rows of the theatre, who David invited to join him on stage.
It is worth noting that even the woman he flies with, does not know how the illusion is done! This remains to this day the most spectacular flying illusion ever seen.
